The other reason we went to Mexico...to abandon our responsibilities as parents

Bye-Bye Kiddos
We left the kids in Utah in the capable hands of Maggie and Ellie.    Leaving them for the first time  for this amount of time was NOT easy.  Even Seth was holding back tears when we dropped them off.  Looking back, I think going on vacation without the kids was one of the best things we could have done this summer.
Hola Mexico (Window in our room, Mision Del Sol, Cuernavaca)
Seth exiting the door within a door within an adobe fortress

Jaime and Liz eating breakfast with us at the hotel restaurant.
Tableside music to accompany some of the best mexican food I have ever had.

Jaime and Seth in the only area with wi-fi.  The whole philosophy of the place was  all about taking a break from the distractions of every day life, including all media.
Mommy brain in temporary power down mode.    Did I mention it was a really good choice to go on vacation without the kids?

The pool was made of many different colored tiles to create the rainbow.
In addition to the pool, gym, and walking paths there was a (trumpets...angels singing...)
MEDITATION LOUNGE

Ahhhhhhhhh, I would come here to read my scriptures, write, and listen to the amazing sounds of  foreign nature, far off footsteps and conversations in another language.  All sounds that do not require any type of intervention or attention from me.   Yes.
